I had just finished watching the brilliant movie "Shop Girl" starring Claire Danes, Steve Martin, & Jason Schwartzman. The first thing that came to mind was that I had to do a parody of the trailer, featuring clips from HP. Since the movie had a bit of a love triangle, I had to choose three characters from the HP world. So the first two characters that popped to mind were Harry and Ginny, (big surprise, since I am an H/G fan.) but I still needed one more. I originally thought of using Dean, but there just wasn't enough clips of him in the films. I finally decide on Cedric. I know there is no canon proof for Ginny/Cedric, but remember it's suppose to be a parody on the "Shop Girl" trailer. Please keep in mind that this is a parody & not an actual trailer. Clips belong to Warner Brothers & Touchstone Pictures. No copyright infringement intended.

| Shopgirl Fan Tribute | |

A fan tribute video I made for my favorite movie of all time. I had originally used a different song that was more uptempo, but this one gives it a more sentimental feel. I am not sure if the lyrics really fit the characters in the movie, but I wanted a song ("White Flag" by Dido) that would still match the visuals and create the right mood. I am still pleased with it, and I hope you are too. It is also a tribute to Ray and Mirabelle's relationship, even though they don't end up together in the end. Despite the flawed relationship between these two characters, I believe it is a tender, moving story about the May/December romance. Even though Ray wants to love Mirabelle, and he eventually does admit that he loves her, there are things in his character that don't allow him to give himself to her completely. He has treated her differently than other guys she may have known in the past. In the final scene of the film, it is obvious they still have a genuine love for one another, one that neither of them will ever forget for the rest of their lives. And that is why they are one of my favorite movie couples of all time. Enjoy! :-)
